RYA Day Skipper Theory
Understand the best practices for anchoring, from which anchor to use and how much chain you will need, to suitable locations, depths and space. We will also discuss different rope properties and use cases, with detailed visuals of knots, hitches and bends. You can even practice with the rope samples sent in your student pack.
Learn how to look after your crew, vessel, and the equipment used in emergencies at sea. We will cover topics like helicopter rescue, distress signals and more.
We will break down the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea, the 'rules of the road', and help make this rather heavy topic much more digestible for when you are out on the water.
This year we have just passed our 50th Day Skipper Student who had completed their Day Skipper Theory online with Ardent Training. I am delighted to say that every single one said how they thoroughly enjoyed the online course and especially the back-up they received to any questions they had whilst completing the course.
